This painting by Matthew Kirk has been wrapped and hand-sewn to an Erickson Aesthetics EÆ Lounge chair. Each piece and section of the chair is patterned and meticulously cut from the painting, attached, and sewn to the frame.

Ben Erickson’s partner Ayana conceived that the chair would look as if it was pulled through the painting, capturing its image.

It’s currently the centerpiece at Constance gallery in NYC for Ben and Matthew’s show “Chairs” and will be moving to Maison Gerard to be exhibited by them.
