This painting by Matthew Kirk has been wrapped and hand-sewn to an Erickson Aesthetics EÆ Lounge chair. Each section of the chair is cut from the painting, and sewn to the frame.

Ben Erickson’s partner Ayana conceived that the chair would look as if it was pulled through the painting, capturing its image.

It was shown at Constance gallery in NYC for Ben and Matthew’s show “Chairs” and is currently exhibited by Maison Gerard.
